A Restaurant Worth Every Visit

For more than twenty years, Basta Pasta has been a fixture in the Harford County dining scene. What began as a family-owned restaurant in Fallston, has grown into a destination known for exceptional Italian cuisine, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that keeps guests coming back year after year.

For my family, that connection runs especially deep.

Family-Owned, Community-Focused

Since opening in 2004, the family behind Basta Pasta has remained committed to a simple philosophy: every guest deserves an exceptional dining experience throughout every visit.

After nearly twenty years of dining there myself, I can say with confidence that they have stayed true to that mission.

From the moment you walk through the doors, there's a sense of warmth that's increasingly difficult to find. The service is attentive without being intrusive, the staff genuinely cares about the guest experience, and every visit feels personal. Whether you're celebrating a milestone or simply enjoying dinner on a weeknight, you're always treated as a valued guest.

That kind of hospitality has made them a staple in Harford County, highlighting both a commitment to their customers and to the community they proudly serve.

The Food: The Heart of Basta Pasta

While we always appreciate the level of service they provide, the food is where Basta Pasta truly shines.

The menu offers a thoughtful blend of authentic Italian favorites, fresh seafood, and elevated comfort-food classics. It's the kind of menu that makes choosing difficult because there are genuinely so many excellent options.

Start with an appetizer and you'll immediately understand why guests return again and again. The burrata is always a standout, the clams casino is my personal favorite, and the shrimp focaccia is absolutely worth ordering.

When it comes to entrées, the pasta dishes are where Basta Pasta fully lives up to its name. One of my personal favorites is the Seafood Primavera. It's a dish I order repeatedly and never regret. While my husband’s go-to order is the southern Italian platter that combines homemade lasagna, stuffed shells and chicken parmigiana.

Other standout selections include the salmon florentine topped with Basta's signature cream sauce, the chicken saltimbocca, and the shrimp and scallop luciano. Every plate arrives beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared, making even an ordinary dinner feel like a special occasion.

Each dinner entrée is served with complimentary breadsticks and a fresh salad, which further adds to the experience.

And whatever you do, save room for dessert. The chocolate-dipped cannoli and tiramisu have become mandatory orders in our family.

Perfect for Date Night & Family Dinner

Basta Pasta strikes the perfect balance between casual elegance and comfortable familiarity. It's intimate enough for an anniversary dinner or date night, yet welcoming enough for a family meal with kids in tow.

Our daughter has grown up dining at Basta Pasta alongside us, and the kid-friendly offerings ensures there's always something she'll enjoy.

A dedicated kids menu provides all the traditional options, along with my daughter’s personal favorite - their smoothies.

A Holiday Tradition Worth Experiencing

If you've never visited Basta Pasta during the Halloween, Christmas, or Valentine’s season, consider this your invitation.

Every year, the restaurant transforms its decor for each holiday, creating a festive and welcoming space that beautifully captures the magic of the season being celebrated.

Seasonal menu offerings give returning guests something new to look forward to, while the festive ambiance makes holiday dinners feel even more special.

Christmas is one of my personal favorite times of year to visit and it’s become the family tradition my daughter adores.
