Located right in Bel Air, MawMaw's is an experience-based cooking school founded by Cindy Malloy in memory of her late mother, affectionately known as MawMaw. Inspired by memories of baking alongside her mom, Cindy has built something truly special, a community space rooted in food, creativity, and the kind of warmth that feels like you’re right at home.

Classes for Every Age and Every Skill Level
MawMaw’s Creative Kitchen offers something for everyone. The youngest chefs will get to enjoy learning new techniques and skills, while teens can focus on building confidence in the kitchen and the creative freedom to try new options.
For the littlest chefs, classes start as young as age 5 and cover the basics in a fun, welcoming environment that keeps kids engaged from start to finish.
The Junior Chefs program for ages 10 to 12 takes things a step further with knife skills, cooking techniques, and a foundation that will serve them long after their class. For teens, the curriculum continues to build confidence and creativity in the kitchen.
And for the adults, MawMaw's delivers just as much fun. From pasta making to cookie decorating to full dinner classes, the adult and date night offerings are a genuinely so much fun. You can bring your own beverages to adult classes, and the relaxed, laughter-filled atmosphere makes it perfect for couples, friend groups, or anyone just looking for something a little different on a weeknight.
Classes cover everything from breakfast to dinner and all the sweet things in between, including cookies, macarons, homemade pasta, and so much more.
Cooking Up Camp Fun
When I’m looking for camp options, MawMaw’s Creative Kitchen is always my go-to. Summer camp offerings for kids ages 5 through 17 run weekly throughout the summer, giving families the flexibility to sign up for a week, a day, a half-day or several depending on what works for your schedule. Each week brings a fresh theme and a new set of recipes, so even repeat campers are always learning something new.
What we really love is that MawMaw's does not stop at summer. School break camps make it a resource families can count on throughout the entire year, which is especially helpful when the kids are off and you are looking for something engaging and meaningful to fill the day. The weekly class curriculum follows the same idea, with lessons that rotate regularly so kids are constantly building new skills in the kitchen.
Every session is hands-on from start to finish, covering everything from cooking and baking to dessert decorating. Kids walk away with real skills, real confidence, and new things to try at home.
