Grand View Farm: Regenerative, Pasture-Raised Farming in Harford County
Support Local
Some relationships start with a transaction and grow into something much more meaningful. My connection to Grand View Farm started simply enough as a customer, drawn in by the pasture-raised meats that the Bailey family and their team were raising on their Harford County farm.
But over the past year, working alongside them, I’ve come to understand that what happens at Grand View isn’t just farming. It’s a way of life built on deep respect for the land, the animals, and the customers they feed.
With convenient online ordering and a Farm Store in Forest Hill, there is no easier way to support local from a farm you can actually visit and trust.

Family-Owned, Community-Focused
Grand View Farm is a Harford County family operation through and through. In 2010, the Bailey family set out to prove that great food could be raised locally and made available to the community, starting with just one cow and 25 chickens. The farm store back then was a refrigerator in a centuries-old barn, with neighbors stopping by on weekends to pick up fresh eggs.
More than a decade later, Grand View Farm has grown into one of the most respected pasture-based operations in the region, trusted by hundreds of families, and backed by the Bailey’s 100% satisfaction guarantee. Throughout it all their mission has remained constant. The Bailey family still approaches every single day with a commitment to the land, the animals, and the people they feed.

Regenerative Farming and Why it Matters
I’ll be honest, I had no idea of what regenerative farming meant before my first visit to Grand View Farm. While I prioritized locally sourced items, having the chance to see their regenerative practices in person was eye opening to say the least.
At its core, regenerative agriculture is about more than just raising clean food, it is about actively improving the land over time, working with nature, and ethically raising animals.
At Grand View, that shows up every single day in the way they manage the farm. The herds are rotated regularly from pasture to pasture, giving the land time to rest, regrow, and rebuild. No synthetic chemicals are sprayed on the pastures. The animals have 24/7 access to fresh air, sunlight, and forage. Multi-species pasture blends are planted intentionally to support soil health and give the animals a varied, nutrient-rich diet, because the quality of what goes into the soil eventually makes its way to your plate.
What we love about Grand View's approach is that they don’t hide behind labels or certifications. They invite you to come out, walk the land, see the animals on pasture, and talk directly with the farmers. That level of transparency is rare, and it is exactly what families who care about where their food comes from deserve.
Know Your Farmer, Know Your Food
We live in a county with incredible local farms, and Grand View is right at the top of the list. If you have been thinking about making the switch to locally raised pasture-raised meat and eggs, this is your sign. Start with a dozen eggs or grab a curated Farmer’s Choice Box and let the farm introduce itself. I promise it will be all the convincing you need.
