All-in-One Family Fun

One of the things we loved most about Pirate's Cove is that it isn't built around just one attraction. Instead, it's packed with activities that appeal to different ages and personalities, making it easy for families to spend an entire afternoon without anyone getting bored.

The Laser Tag Arena is easily one of the biggest highlights. The pirate-themed course is filled with glowing lights, obstacles, and plenty of places to hide as you work your way through friendly competition. It's just as much fun for parents and older kids as it is for teens, making it one of those rare activities the whole family can genuinely enjoy together.

If your kids are constantly staging Nerf battles around the house, they'll be thrilled to discover the dedicated Nerf Arena, where they can safely run, dodge, and compete without turning your living room into a battlefield. The Gel Blaster Arena offers another exciting option for older kids and teens looking for fast-paced action.

For younger visitors, the Bounce House area is the perfect stop. It's spacious, colorful, and gives little ones plenty of room to jump, climb, and play. They also have an activity corner with toys to explore.

Another family favorite is Duckpin Bowling. The smaller bowling balls are much easier for younger children to throw, making this a fun activity where everyone can join in instead of watching from the sidelines.

Here's where Pirate's Cove really sets itself apart.

So many family entertainment centers are designed only for the kids, while we as parents become just spectators. Pirate's Cove flips that idea by giving adults their own space to unwind and have fun.

The Cove, is a section of the facility designed with adults in mind. The space features Crabby Axe Axe Throwing, Krazy Darts, billiards, and even line dancing nights throughout the month. Whether you're waiting while your kids play, planning a date night, or meeting friends, it's refreshing to find a family entertainment center that remembers parents deserve a little fun, too.

And honestly, my husband and I have enjoyed playing along side her throughout the arcade and especially the laser tag arena!

It's one of the few places we've visited where everyone in the family can genuinely enjoy themselves at the same time.

A Family Stop Near Ripken Stadium

If you're visiting Harford County for a tournament or game at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, Pirate's Cove deserves a spot on your itinerary.

Located just minutes away in Havre de Grace, it's an easy stop before or after a game and gives families another way to make a full day—or even a full weekend—out of their visit. It's also a great option when weather changes your plans or you simply have time to fill between games.

Birthday Parties, Ahoy!

When you’re planning your next party or event, Pirate's Cove should absolutely be on your radar.

The facility offers multiple private party spaces, including two 800-square-foot party rooms, a 500-square-foot party room, and the impressive 2,400-square-foot Ryan Family Hall for larger celebrations and events.

One feature parents will especially appreciate is that every party includes a dedicated party planner who handles the setup, coordinates activities, and takes care of cleanup afterward.

Even better, outside food and birthday cakes are welcome, giving families a little extra flexibility when planning their celebration.

A Space Rooted in Community

We always enjoy learning the story behind local businesses, and this one is especially meaningful.

The building itself has deep local roots. Many longtime Harford County residents remember it as the former home of Ryan Furniture, a beloved local business that served the community for decades. John Cain actually worked there as a delivery driver during the 1980s, making this location especially meaningful.

To honor that history, Pirate's Cove named its largest event space the Ryan Family Hall, recognizing the Ryan family's lasting impact on Harford County.
